WEEKEND NEWS POLICY
The UUErie Weekend News is distributed every week to congregation members to inform them of the upcoming service as well as information related to church committees and activities.
The Weekend News includes the following, as needed:
Sunday Service
- A description of the upcoming service to include speaker(s) and Zoom information.
- These should be posted with Committee Headings
Caring News
- Illnesses, deaths, well wishes, congratulations
Hospitality News
- Requests for coffee hour/potluck volunteers
- Thanks for coffee hour/potluck volunteers
- Coffee hour/potluck guidelines/updates
- Thanksgiving dinner
- Special requests for things like Christmas cookies for Christmas Eve
Congregational News
- News from UUErie committees regarding upcoming events
- Group all events from same committee under one heading
Affiliate News
- Pittsburgh Cluster, UUA, etc.
Community News
- Activities going on in the community related to church policies.
NO personal items such as requests for funding, information related to private businesses, things for sale, etc.
