Rev. Kristina Church

Rev. Kristina Church received her Master of Divinity degree in 2020 from Meadville Lombard Theological School, a Unitarian Universalist seminary in Chicago, Illinois. Rev. Kristina became a minister after her first career as a master social worker and following a decade as a stay-at-home parent. The child of a career Air Force veteran and an elementary school teacher, she has lived all over the United States but considers Anchorage, Alaska her adopted hometown. Kristina lives in Erie with her family– husband, Greg, a retired chemistry professor originally from the Philippines; their twelve-year-old son, Rafael, a seventh grader who loves the performing arts; and their three-year old labradoodle, Onyx, who loves treats, walks, and chasing squirrels.

Michele Paich – RE Director

Leigh Kostis- President of the Board

Leigh has been a member of the UU Erie Congregation for 38 years.  She came to Unitarian Universalism when she returned to her hometown of Erie with her young son and was looking for a liberal religious home. She has been the long time chair of the Membership Committee, has served as the co-chair of the Stewardship Campaign for a number of years, and has been involved in many other committees and projects. Leigh is grateful for the opportunities for personal growth and community involvement that the congregation has provided over the years. She loves the spirit of inclusion, as well as open dialogue and belief that Unitarian Universalism promotes.

Joanne Davis -Administration and Operations

I came to this community twelve years ago as a person wholly unfamiliar with Unitarian Universalism. While serving the congregation, I have gained many precious friends and have learned a great deal about this vibrant intellectual community and, by extension, myself. I am extremely grateful to do my small part to facilitate the operations of this unique place, where we truly believe that “you don’t need to think alike to love alike”.
