September 4   Occupation:  The Power of Doing

The word “occupation” does not necessarily mean “job;” it also refers to the activities that we do that occupy our time. This Labor Day weekend service explores the power of occupation–that is, meaningful activities–to positively affect our health, identity, and well-being. Christine Linkie is a member of our congregation and currently teaches in the Occupational Therapy Program in the School of Public Health and Health Professions at the University at Buffalo; she specializes in mental health and occupation. This is our last Summer Lite service.
