July 28 Two Service Opportunities: Journey to Chautauqua or Informal Service at UUCE

We will travel to the Chautauqua Institution for the UU service in the Hall of Philosophy.  The speaker will be Matt Asprin, Chautauqua award 2019 recipient.  Before studying for the UU Ministry, Matt enjoyed a successful business career.  Matt is attracted to Buddhism and the teachings of Thic Nhat Hahn.  He currently lives in Seattle, WA with his daughter.

If you wish to carpool, we will leave from the church parking lot at 8 a.m. The Chautauqua service begins at 9:30 a.m. After the service, we can spend time wandering around the grounds, having lunch and visiting the Unitarian  Universalist House. Parking in the Chautauqua lot is free until 2 p.m.

Alternatively, there will be an informal service at UUCE at 10:30 a.m.,  “Life Is a Game.  These are the rules for being human” led by Lynne Stephens.
