Unitarian Universalists affirm the worth and dignity of every person; seek justice, equity, and compassion in human relations; and recognize that we are part of an interdependent web of all existence. Our work for justice is grounded on these principles.
The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Erie’s justice work encompasses environmental justice, social justice, and economic justice.
For investors to whom environmental, social, and governmental criteria are considerations: practical and detailed information is on the web at ussif.org.
The Mission Teams – the Inspire Team, the Connect Team, the Act Team, and the Green Sanctuary Team – perform some of the justice work of the congregation. Other work is done by committees or by the congregation as a whole. At times on Sunday mornings we hear speakers who present perspectives from various segments of the Erie community. At times we join in community activities, such as the annual Pride parade and the Martin Luther King, Jr. March.
